The Tau Beta Pi Engineering Futures Program was established to provide interpersonal skills for engineering students. This is accomplished through the presentation of free workshops on important skills for the workplace. Facilitators from National Tau Beta Pi that run the workshops have been trained by a company that provides the same types of workshops to Fortune 500 companies. Topics for E-Futures (as the program is informally known) include: people skills, team chartering, analytical problem solving, and group process.
Engineering Futures sessions are open to all students from any department on campus. Because the sessions are focused on building interpersonal skills and improving team work, we encourage formal or informal campus groups and teams to attend.
Ohio Alpha chapter has tentatively scheduled a Engineering Futures session for Saturday, October 4, 2008. The session topic has not been decided at this time, so stay tuned. If you are interested in attending or have questions, please e-mail Josh. For more information, visit the national website.
